Kirt Dedam on Workforce Solutions at CCIB Panel

Kirt Dedam, Mesgi'g Ugju's'n Wind Farm Project Manager at MMBC, recently joined a panel hosted by the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business. The focus: how to attract and support Indigenous youth in the workforce.

Kirt spoke about the real challenges we face in recruitment and retention, especially in clean energy. He shared how MMBC is approaching this through practical strategies—connecting with local schools, offering mentorship, and creating training paths that lead to real jobs.

He also talked about what’s ahead: how we need to keep adapting and stay focused on long-term opportunities that make sense for our communities.
