Shawn Patterson

Board Administrator
Gespeg

Shawn Patterson is a retired professional engineer with over 30 years of industrial experience in technical and marketing roles. Originally from Gespeg, Shawn and his wife Annie met in their hometown in the early 1980s. After several years of working across Canada and having their children in British Columbia, they returned to Northern New Brunswick in 1999 to be closer to family and reconnect with their roots.

Since retiring, Shawn has remained actively engaged in his community through various board roles. He served on the founding board of Réseau de Santé Vitalité and held a five-year term with the Northern New Brunswick Airport Association, including two years as Board Chair. He is currently a board member with CBDC Chaleur and chairs the organizing committee for the 2025 Canadian Junior Boys Golf Championship, which will be held in Bathurst.

Avid travellers, Shawn and Annie, enjoy exploring the world and discovering North America by RV. Joining the MMBC Board is a meaningful way for Shawn to give back to the region that shaped him. He is dedicated to helping ensure that future generations have opportunities to grow, thrive, and stay connected to their culture and community.
