Gespeg

Terry joined MMBC in February 2024 as the Mi’gmaq Project Coordinator and Spokesperson, overseeing construction activities for phase 2 of the Mesgi’g Ugju’s’n Wind farm in collaboration with Innergex.

Terry, who graduated from Cegep de la Gaspésie et des Iles in 2003 with a DEC in Forest Technician, has also taken several additional courses in forestry and management. Starting his journey with the Micmac Nation of Gespeg in 2001 as a student, he worked his way up to forest technician, and by March 2020, he was leading the forestry department. Terry was a councillor for the Mi’gmaq of Gespeg from 2008 to 2020, after which he served as Chief of Gespeg beginning March 6th, 2020. He stepped down from the role in February 2024 to focus on his growing family, including his two sons, Jaxon and Mason.
